Gmail outreach limits: warmup, daily pace and mailbox health
In Email Sender, each mailbox sends at most 100 cold emails a day, including follow-ups. A new mailbox starts at 1 a day and climbs each week to 100 by week 8.
Sends are evenly spaced on weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM in your workspace time zone. Add mailboxes to reach more people while keeping the same pace on each one.
Your sending pace
| Mailbox age | Daily ceiling | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | 1 cold email | Warmup on real people |
| Week 2 | 5 cold emails | First emails and follow-ups share the limit |
| Week 3 | 10 cold emails | Climbing |
| Week 4 | 20 cold emails | Climbing |
| Week 5 | 35 cold emails | Climbing |
| Week 6 | 50 cold emails | Climbing |
| Week 7 | 75 cold emails | Climbing |
| Week 8 on | 100 cold emails | Drops back if emails land in spam or bounce |
These are Email Sender limits. A higher plan does not raise them.
Give each mailbox time
Mass senders blast new domains and burn them. We warm every mailbox on real people and cap it at 100 a day, so emails land in the inbox and get replies. An older account starts slow too.
Careful sending can reduce pressure on your mailboxes. It cannot guarantee inbox placement or replies.
Before your first campaign
- Connect your Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox.
- Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your own domain using the steps in Connected accounts.
- Add your sender name and postal address. Every outreach email includes them and a small unsubscribe link.
- Prepare your campaign and send yourself a test.
- Start it. The mailbox sends 1 email a day at first and builds up.
Know when to pause
Mailboxes pause automatically when Google blocks them. Open Connected accounts to see the reason and what needs attention.
The Sending domains list shows which domains can send, which are slowed or rejected, and how to fix each one. A mailbox slows down on its own if its emails start landing in spam.
Open and click tracking are on by default. Check opens, replies and booked meetings to see how outreach is doing.
Reach more people by adding mailboxes
Each additional mailbox has the same warmup and daily limits. Four eligible mailboxes can send at most 400 cold emails a weekday in total, including follow-ups. Safety pauses may reduce that total.
- Use real mailboxes that receive replies.
- Keep each email relevant to the person receiving it.
- Avoid contacting the same person from several accounts.
- Honour unsubscribes and stop requests across every account.
Make each email worth sending
Find people who fit your offer. Mention their work, show something useful and ask a small question. Use replies to improve the next campaign.
Find a YouTube business email, then use the cold email guide to write your pitch.
